But the delay in information exchange proved costly to the bottom line.

The new standard, Near Real-Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE), provides a method for monitoring customers' activities in the VPMN (Visited Public Mobile Network), and enables the HPMN to detect unauthorized network usage and other fraud issues near real-time.
